Official Rules, Spooktacular Halloween Tale
No purchase necessary to enter or to win. All Federal, State, Local and Municipal laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.
The Spooktacular Halloween Tale (The "Contest") is open to U.S. residents (excluding Puerto Rico), 13 years or younger at the time of entry. Employees of The Herald-Dispatch, Champion Industries or Camden Park, and each of its affiliated companies, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, and other agents, and immediate family members of or any persons domiciled with such employees, are not eligible.

The Contest will begin on Sunday, September 7th, 2008 and all entries must be received or postmarked by Thursday, October 9th, 2008. Stories must be 250 words or less. Handwritten or typewritten stories will be accepted.
Entry forms will be printed in The Herald-Dispatch, starting on Sunday, September 7th and can also be picked up at our location, during normal business hours. One free entry form per person.
Mail completed story and the official entry form to: The Herald-Dispatch, Halloween Spooctacular, Attn: Lena Burdette, 946 Fifth Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701, or drop off during normal business hours. There will be one winner in each age group; 6-8, 9-11 & 12-13 years of age. Winners will be notified by phone on or about October 16th, 2008. Winners will have their stories published in The Herald-Dispatch on October 31st, 2008. The three winners will receive 4 tickets each to Camden Park's Spooktacular Event 2008. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. One (1) entry per person.
The Herald-Dispatch reserves the right not to publish stories deemed inappropriate for publication.
By entering the Contest, entrant release The Herald-Dispatch and Champion Publishing, Inc. from any claims, demands or losses or liabilities arising in connection with the Contest or the receipt or use of any prize awarded.
