Much of the Tri-State is under a winter storm warning through Thursday morning, as the National Weather Service is predicting 1 to 2 inches by Wednesday morning, followed by another 1 to 3 inches through early afternoon.
And it won't just be the snow residents and motorists will be dealing with. It's also cold and windy conditions that will bring gusts of up to 36 mph and wind chills into the single digits.
The latest storm brought a couple of inches to the Tri-State early Tuesday morning, forcing most area schools to close. The Tuesday morning change from snow to sleet to rain also led to several vehicle accidents.
More problems are expected during the Wednesday morning commute as wet roads freeze over and become snow covered.
