Urology clinic opens in new location Monday

Marshall Urology opens Monday, Jan. 13, in new offices in the 20th Street Professional Building, 1115 20th St. in Huntington.

Urologists C. Stephen Woolums, MD, and Lawrence M. Wyner, MD, will now see patients at this new facility, while urologic oncologist James C. Jensen, MD, will continue to see patients with urological cancers at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

nTelos adds six new cell sites in Putnam

Cell provider nTelos Wireless has added six new cell sites in Putnam County, northeast of Winfield, that will further enhance coverage of its network.

The new sites will provide enhanced coverage to the communities of Confidence, Sigman and Extra as well as homes along Bowels Ridge Road, Manila Ridge Road and Jim Ridge Road.

"We are committed to providing the best value in wireless by continuing to enhance our coverage area," said Conrad Hunter, chief operating officer of nTelos Wireless. "We believe the continued expansion of our network is instrumental to businesses and consumers."

The towns of Red House, Liberty and Leon will also experience enhanced coverage, along with areas along W.Va. 34/Mclane Pike. The communities of Paradise and Hugo will also notice enhancement in service.

$580 raised for charity by Charlie's Harley-Davidson

Through the month of December 2013, Charlie's Harley-Davidson helped raise $580 through donation-based gift wrapping for the Enterprise Child Development Center in Huntington. The center serves five counties and is a branch of the River Valley Child Development Services that was established in 1971. River Valley serves more than 12,000 people a year with a variety of regional and statewide programs. Information on RVCD and its services can be found at www.rvcds.org.

Hair Gallery employees get extra training

Tracy Davidson, Scott McSweeney and Ron Wilson of Ron Wilson Hair Gallery sharpened their skills at the international award-winning Redken Exchange late last year.

Located on Fifth Avenue in New York City, the Hair Gallery staff members were some of the salon professionals who attended classes at The Redken Exchange, according to a statement.

The Hair Gallery staff learned advanced design and color techniques from industry experts Scott Seuper and Patrick Fitzwater.
