Ohio gas prices rise slightly to start the week
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio drivers are seeing another slight bump at the gas pump to start the work week.
A gallon of regular gas in Ohio was listed at an average of $3.70 in Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That's 3 cents more than last Monday's average of $3.67.
The national average for regular gas is about $3.67 per gallon, down about 2 cents from a week ago.
The lowest average price in Ohio was about $3.64 in the Youngstown and Warren areas in northeast Ohio.
Ashland exec to retire
COVINGTON, Ky. -- Ashland Inc. Monday reported that Lamar M. Chambers, senior vice president and chief financial officer, will retire in July after 37 years of service to the company.
J. Kevin Willis has been elected to succeed Chambers, who has been in the position since 2008. Chambers joined Ashland in 1976 as a staff auditor and held a series of finance and operations leadership positions.
Willis, 47, is a native of Richmond, Ky., and joined Ashland in 1987 as an associate auditor.
