September 01, 2010 @ 11:50 PM

As part of its second annual Lighthouse Project, BB&T Bank in Ceredo teamed up with the Good Samaritan Food Bank in Ceredo to provide diapers and infant supplies. Employees from the bank volunteered their time Aug. 26 to purchase and deliver the items to the food bank. The items were much appreciated, as those items are often not covered by public assistance, according to the food bank.

Last year, BB&T employees nationwide donated a total of 53,000 hours to charities in 25 states.

MOSES AUTO MALL: Moses Auto Mall is hosting a Child Safety Seat Awareness Day at 10 a.m. on Saturday Sept. 25. SAVANNAH'S AND NELSON MULLINS RILEY & SCARBOROUGH: Savannah's Restaurant in Huntington will be hosting AMONG FRIENDS, an intimate wine tasting presented by Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. The event will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24. All funds raised through this event will benefit Dress for Success River Cities, an organization devoted to promoting the economic independence of disadvantage women in the Tri-State area, including Lawrence, Gallia and Scioto counties in Ohio.

The evening will feature fine vintages and hors d'oeuvres along with selected classic stylish wines from Little Black Dress Wines, A Dress for Success Worldwide partner. Call 304-522-3011 for further information.
