Health care group elects officers

CHARLESTON -- The West Virginia Health Care Association has elected its officers and Board of Directors for 2009 and 2010.

The association elected the following officers: President Scott Fox of The Orchards of Foxcrest; Vice President Mary Ferrell of Genesis HealthCare Corporation; Secretary Roger Topping of Princeton Health Care Center; Treasurer Gene Alfonsi of Braxton Health Care and Rehabilitation Center; and Immediate Past President Tammy Jo Painter of AMFM, Inc.

New Board of Directors members, who will serve a two-year term, include: Todd Jones of AMFM, Inc.; Bill Mason of Genesis HealthCare Corp.; Nancy Mason of Heartland of Martinsburg; Shawn Eddy of Teays Valley Center; Michael Gore of Boone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center; and Sheila Jones of Eagle Pointe. Serving a second year on the Board of Directors include: Greg Elliot of AMFM, Inc.; Kathryn Gessler of SunBridge Healthcare Corp.; Dolores Miles of Broadmore Assisted Living at Teays Valley; and Larry Pack of Pack CPA, PLLC; and Matthew Keefer of Pleasant Valley Hospital, Inc. Michael Gore will serve as Board Member at Large to the Executive Committee.

The association is a statewide nonprofit organization representing long term facilities providing care for seniors.
