Ky. economic development leader Hindman resigns
FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Economic Development Secretary John Hindman has resigned to return to the private sector after just more than a year on the job.
Hindman will work as consultant for a year on some of the large projects under way in the state, including expansions at the Ford plants in Louisville.
Gov. Steve Beshear appointed Executive Cabinet Secretary Larry Hayes to serve as the interim head of the Economic Development Cabinet.
Beshear said he has no timetable for naming a permanent replacement.
