CINCINNATI -- A regional airline based at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport says it won't cut back flights as much as earlier announced.
Comair said Tuesday it will return seven of its parked aircraft to service in June and will fly up to 10 percent more flight hours than initially planned. Comair serves the Tri-State Airport.
As part of cost-cutting by parent company Delta Air Lines, Comair had said it would shrink its fleet from 131 jets at the beginning of the year to 121 by June. Instead, it will have 128 aircraft in its fleet this summer.
Delta's president has said a proposed merger with Northwest Airlines will not affect service at Delta's Cincinnati hub or hurt Comair.
