United Bankshares declares dividend
CHARLESTON -- United Bankshares Inc. Monday declared a fourth quarter dividend of $0.31 per share for shareholders of record as of Dec. 14.
Dividends per share of $1.24 for the year 2012 represents a 2 percent increase over the $1.21 per share paid for the year of 2011, according to a news release. The dividend payout of approximately $15.6 million on 50.3 million shares is payable Jan. 2.
The year marks the 39th consecutive year of dividend increases to United shareholders.
