HUNTINGTON -- Unlimited Future Inc. will host a free seminar from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, about the impact of communication skills on business.

Grant aids fish farming ventures in W.Va.
West Virginia Salmon and Trout LLC has been awarded $75,000 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Program to develop inland salmon fisheries in West Virginia.
The inland aquaculture company uses water recirculating technology to raise salmon and trout at facilities in Logan and Mingo counties, according to a press release.
Officials hope the funding will bring jobs, visitors and fresh seafood to southern West Virginia, U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall, D-W.Va., said in a press release.
Alcon to repurchase up to 1 million shares
NEW YORK -- Swiss eye care products maker Alcon Inc. said Tuesday it plans to buy back up to 1 million shares from investors before the end of the year.
About 70 million, or 23 percent, of Alcon's 300 million outstanding shares are publicly traded. The company said it would use the proceeds to pay employee compensation plans.
Earlier this year Alcon suspended share repurchasing after Swiss pharmaceutical maker Novartis purchased a 25 percent stake in the company from its parent Nestle SA. Currently, Nestle holds a 52 percent stake in Alcon.
Charleston teleservice center to add 200 jobs
CHARLESTON -- TRG Customer Solutions announced today that it will add more than 200 jobs, expand and renovate its Charleston customer services center, and invest $250,000 in building improvements and equipment to its South Charleston operations center.
The company currently has more than 200 employees in Charleston and plans to hire for technical and product support positions, in support of a full-spectrum communications provider, according to a press release.
The program operates from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week. Work schedules will be available across both day and evening shifts. They will be full-time jobs with health insurance benefits.
TRG provides customer care, technical support and tele-sales services to Fortune 500 companies in the telecommunications, financial services, technology, healthcare, and utility industries. The company operates 21 contact centers around the world, through which it handles incoming customer inquiries and sales calls for its clients.
The West Virginia Development Office worked with TRG to determine available business assistance programs that would help facilitate the company's expansion there. The Governor's Guaranteed Work Force Program will provide employee training assistance grants or incentives for the new jobs, and the Charleston Area Alliance has offered a low-interest loan for building improvements that TRG is exploring.
