RUSSELL, Ky. -- The Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH) Women's Center began offering gynecological services at the center Feb. 1.

The addition of gynecological services was possible because of a joint arrangement with Bellefonte Women's Care, at 2001 Winchester Avenue. Bellefonte Women's Care will provide staff to the Women's Center located at Bellefonte Centre, at 1000 Ashland Drive.

Bellefonte Women's Care nurse practitioner Sabrina Brown, ARNP, is seeing patients at the OLBH Women's Center and will offer annual gynecological screenings and well-woman screenings.

The Bellefonte Women's Center offers digital mammography for improved efficiency and faster turn around times, the presence of a surgeon, clinical breast examinations, breast ultrasound, surgical consultations, minimally invasive breast biopsy, a DEXA densitometer to screen for bone density and a full-time nurse practitioner to serve as the center's "nurse navigator" to guide patients through the process.

The center also has a retail boutique for prosthesis, wigs, bras and other items, a clinical trials office for patients requiring genetic testing or enrollment in a clinical trial and a women's health learning library.

Jan Dils opens law office in Huntington

HUNTINGTON -- Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, has opened a new office at 1108 3rd Ave., Suite 301, in Huntington.

The office is staffed to handle both Social Security and Veterans Administration claims. The firm began in 1994. Its headquartered in Parkersburg, with additional offices in Charleston, Beckley and Logan.

After graduating from Marietta College with a bachelor of science degree in both marketing and economics, Jan Dils went on to receive her masters in business administration in 1991, and her law degree from West Virginia University in 1994.
