Legislative luncheon set for October
HUNTINGTON -- The Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce's annual "A View from the Capitol" legislative luncheon is planned for noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the St. Mary's Conference Center. It will be in the Rahall Room.
This year's discussion will highlight current health care legislation. The panel will feature: Dr. James Becker, medical director of the West Virginia Bureau for Medical Services and physician director for the West Virginia Office of the Insurance Commissioner; state Sen. Ron Stollings, chairman of the Senate's Health and Human Resources Committee; Delegate Don Perdue, chairman of the House's Health Committee; and Joe Letnaunchyn, president and CEO of the West Virginia Hospital Association. The event will be moderated by state Sen. Evan Jenkins, executive director of the West Virginia State Medical Association.
Cost to attend is $25 per member or $150 for a corporate table of six. Lunch is included in the price of the event, sponsored by BrickStreet Insurance. Event sponsors also include Appalachian Power.
