Business briefs: KDMC names Cooper-Weidner CIO

ASHLAND -- King's Daughters Medical Center has named Cathy Cooper-Weidner as information services vice president and chief information officer.

In that role, Cooper-Weidner will lead KDMC's Epic Project, a $20 million technology upgrade designed to streamline the medical center's clinical information systems. Cooper-Weidner previously worked in medical information leadership positions in South Bend, Ind., Dearborn, Mich.; Cincinnati and Indianapolis. Originally from Ashland, Cooper-Weidner earned a bachelor's in chemistry and a master's in Information Technology at the University of Kentucky.

 

OLBH's Walden new mobile mammography services coordinator

ASHLAND -- Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital has named Johnda Walden, ARRT(R)(M), mobile mammography services coordinator.

Walden will be responsible for oversight and operations of the OLBH Mobile Health Center, a mobile coach designed to provide women access to health services ranging from mammography to osteoporosis screenings. Walden has been employed at OLBH for seven years.

Walden is a graduate of St. Mary's School of Radiologic Technology in Huntington and Morehead State University. She is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and lives in Greenup County.
