Cabell unemployment falls in Nov.
HUNTINGTON -- Unemployment rates fell in Cabell County and several other area counties during November, according to figures from WorkForce West Virginia.
Cabell's jobless rate was 5.8 percent, down from 6.1 percent in October and 6.6 percent in November 2011. Lincoln and Wayne counties also had slight declines. But statewide, the rates rose in 29 of the 55 counties in November
Monongalia County has the lowest rate in the state at 4.3 percent. Clay County's 14.1 percent rate is the highest.
West Virginia's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 7.3 percent, down two-tenths of a percentage point from October's rate.
