Entrepreneur's Cafe planned
HUNTINGTON -- Unlimited Future Inc. will host this month's Entrepreneurs' Cafe at noon Wednesday, Feb. 20, on the third floor of the Cabell County Public Library, located at the corner of 5th Avenue and 9th Street.
The cost to attend is $15, $10 of which goes to the winning presenter and $5 of which goes to the caterer. Lunch will be provided by Hillbilly Hotdogs.
Those who attend hear presentations from three entrepreneurs about ideas they have for their businesses. They vote on their favorite idea, and the winner gets a microgrant based on the money raised from the lunch and in-kind donations from other local businesses.
This month, Studio 8 Yoga will present to raise funds for several instructors to attend the Yoga Journal Conference in New York City. The conference is an intensive study of meditation, yoga, wellness and nutrition. The studio would like to further promote health in Huntington with a greater variety of wellness programs.
Guests also will hear a presentation from a company called Unique Beads, for which the owner also would like continued education. The business aims to teach lampwork glass bead lessons and do public demonstrations to increase community awareness. Unique Beads are sold at Tamarack.
There is still an opening for a third presenter.
