New furniture store plans grand opening
BARBOURSVILLE -- A new Ashley Furniture HomeStore will have a grand opening Friday, Aug. 27, in Barboursville at 5 Mall Drive, in the strip with Hobby Lobby and Drug Emporium. It opens at 10 a.m.
The showroom features room settings with furniture and down to the final detail of table lamps and area rugs.
John Disa is company president, the local franchise owner will be Bob Young of Teays Valley, who also owns Ashley Furniture HomeStores along Corridor G in Charleston and in Johnson City, Tenn.
"I am happy to bring West Virginians their second HomeStore," Young said in a release. This expansion will bring the No. 1 furniture retailer in North America closer to the Tri-State area and also allow us to touch this community like we have in Charleston."
To celebrate the grand opening of West Virginia's newest location, each store will give away a grand prize $5,000 furniture shopping spree. There will be 15 other winners to receive sofas, mattresses and recliners. The Grand Opening Giveaway will be held at both locations at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, and you must be present to win.
Ashley Furniture HomeStores only sell furniture from Ashley Furniture Industries Inc. Established in 1945, its lines now include bedroom, dining room, upholstery, motion upholstery, leather, occasional tables, entertainment centers, home office, youth bedroom, recliners, lamps, accent pillows, throws, area rugs and accessories.
The first Ashley Furniture HomeStore opened in Anchorage, Alaska in 1997. There are currently 393 HomeStores in North America.
