Our Lady of Bellefonte receives wellness award
RUSSELL, Ky. -- Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital has been named a recipient of the 2014 Worksite Wellness Award. The hospital was the only worksite in Kentucky to receive the platinum level honor.
The award was presented at the Mayor's Healthy Hometown Worksite Wellness Conference and Awards in Louisville, Kentucky.
Criteria for the recognition were based on the Centers for Disease Control Worksite Health ScoreCard, a tool designed to help employers assess the extent to which they have implemented evidence-based health promotion interventions in their worksites.
OLBH's wellness program for employees includes free membership to onsite exercise facility Firm Fitness, access to an on-campus walking trail, regular weight loss challenges, health and wellness classes, an annual personal health assessment and other wellness initiatives.
