Air service from Charleston to Philadelphia set
CHARLESTON -- Local dignitaries will be on hand for the start of a new daily flight from Charleston to Philadelphia.
U.S. Airways/American Airlines announced the new service in March. The inaugural flight from Yeager Airport is set for Thursday. Representatives of Yeager Airport, the airline, the city and Kanawha County are expected to attend an inaugural celebration when the first flight takes off for Philadelphia International Airport on Thursday.
The airline's regional partner, Piedmont Airlines, will operate one nonstop daily flight, except Saturdays, between the Charleston and Philadelphia airports.
