Moses celebrates grand opening of Putnam outlet

October 02, 2008 @ 12:00 AM

TEAYS VALLEY, W.Va. -- Moses Factory Outlet celebrated its grand opening week with a ribbon cutting Wednesday and auction of a 1985 Ferrari Testarossa scheduled for Sunday.

Surrounded by friends, family and government leaders, Steve Moses cut the blue ribbon symbolizing the grand opening of the 2.5-acre facility. Resembling the company's Corridor G location in design, the business offers roughly 300 late-model, pre-owned vehicles with most still under factory warranty.

The outlet is located between I-64 and Putnam Village accessible through the Liberty Square and Putnam Village shopping plaza, thanks to a new access road just behind Players sports bar.

"Putnam County has been a fantastic landlord, neighbor and new home for us," Moses said. "We're really looking forward to being a part of their community."

Putnam County Chamber of Commerce President Marty Chapman said it's a continuation of the development of the business community.

"We're no longer a bedroom community," Chapman said. "Moses is just another part in that growth, and we're pleased to have them in Putnam County."

Bids on the red Testarossa, which has 12,000 miles on it, will start at $29,000. The auction begins at 3 p.m. Sunday.
