3 Nelson Mullins Riley and Scarborough LLP West Virginia partners earn awards
HUNTINGTON -- Nelson Mullins Riley and Scarborough LLP West Virginia partners Marc Williams and Robert Massie were named "Super Lawyers" in the 2014 Edition of West Virginia Super Lawyers. Partner Randall Saunders was named a "Rising Star."
Each partner was recognized for their work in various practice areas. Thomson Reuters publishes Super Lawyers, a rating service of lawyers from more than 70 practice areas based on peer recognition and professional acheivement.
Nelson Mullins has more than 500 attorneys and other professionals with offices in seven states, including one in Huntington, and the District of Columbia.
Goldy Auto promotes product specialist Dustin Shafer to business manager
HUNTINGTON -- Dustin Shafer has been promoted to the role of business manager for Goldy Auto in Huntington.
Shafer has been a product specialist with Goldy for more than a year. In his new role he will work with multiple banks to secure loans for potential buyers.
Joel Goldy, president of Goldy Auto in Huntington, said in a press release May was a record sales month for the dealership, and it is with exceptional employees like Shafer that the company can continue to move forward and grow.
Shafer is an Ashland resident and played minor league baseball before entering the automotive business.
OLBH's Spurlock gets Good Help Award
RUSSELL, Ky. -- Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital announced Wilbur Spurlock is the Good Help Award recipient for the third quarter of 2014.
Spurlock is the nurse manager of the OLBH Same Day Surgery Center. He has worked at the center since it opened in 1997 and has worked in multiple roles within the hospital for 22 years. Spurlock received his nursing degree from Morehead State University.
The Good Help Award is presented quarterly to employees who show respect and caring toward patients, co-workers and visitors. Spurlock and other quarterly winners are in contention for the annual Dedicated Service Award.
AK Steel names Buches principal engineer
ASHLAND -- AK Steel has announced Tim Buches has been promoted to principal engineer at the Ashland Works facility.
Buches integrates and automates process control systems at the company's steelmaking department. He has worked at AK Steel for 30 years.
He graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's degree in information systems from Marshall University.
14 Huddleston Bolen attorneys receive Super Lawyers awards
HUNTINGTON -- Huddleston Bolen LLP recently announced 14 of the firm's lawyers were recognized in the 2014 Edition of West Virginia Super Lawyers.
Lawyers from a variety of practice areas were highlighted, with nine being named "Super Lawyers" and five "Rising Stars."
Huddleston Bolen has offices located in Huntington and Charleston, and in Ashland and Louisville, Kentucky.

Morgan Stanley recognizes employees
HUNTINGTON -- Morgan Stanley Wealth Management has promoted Brandon Fraley to the position of vice president, financial adviser and branch manager for the firm's Huntington office.
The firm has also named the newest members of its Master's and Century Clubs.
The Master's and Century Clubs are groups composed of the firm's top financial advisers.
Morgan Stanley is a global financial services firm with offices in 43 countries. The firm has an office in Huntington.
