Delta to shift flights at Cincinnati hub
CINCINNATI -- Delta Air Lines Inc. plans to shift operations from one of its three concourses at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to the remaining two concourses in January.
Delta said Tuesday that it will close operations at Concourse C at the Hebron, Ky.-based airport near Cincinnati and shift those local departures and arrivals to concourses A and B. Officials with the Atlanta-based airline say the move will provide more convenience for customers and eliminate the need for shuttle service between Concourses B and C.
The shift comes after Delta's announcement this summer that it would cut flights at the Cincinnati hub this fall by about 25 percent compared with the same time last year. Those cuts are part of Delta's continuing efforts to deal with high fuel prices.
Delta says it remains committed to maintaining its Cincinnati hub.
