Reuschlein Jewelers recognized as 'Downtown Partner' for the week
HUNTINGTON -- The Downtown Huntington Partners has recognized C.F. Reuschlein Jewelers as its "Downtown Partner" for the week.
Reuschlein Jewelers has been a staple business in downtown Huntington since 1887, moving its store location occasionally but always staying in the core of downtown Huntington, according to a news release.
Joe Chapman, owner of Reuschlein, started as a delivery boy when he was 17 years old and took over the company in 1993. Reuschlein's also is noted for its clock out front, which will be celebrating its' 100th year in 2009.
The clock is one of only 48 left in the world of that type and is still ticking and providing the correct time.
The Downtown Huntington Partners group meets at 8:30 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays of the month at Pullman Plaza hotel. For more information on membership, call Shawn Bresnahan of Le Cook Store at 304-697-2665.
