HUNTINGTON -- The Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce's 117th Annual Dinner on Thursday, April 3, is a sell out, according to a news release.
Dennis Cuneo, the former Senior Vice President of Toyota Motor North America, will be the keynote speaker. Cuneo currently serves as counsel to a Washington law firm.
The dinner reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and seating begins at 6:15 p.m. at the Pullman Plaza Hotel, 1001 Third Ave., Huntington.
Gold level sponsors include Appalachian Power, Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huddleston Bolen LLP, Jenkins Fenstermaker PLLC, St. Mary's Medical Center, and West Virginia American Water/Western Division.

Dress for Success plans 'Check My Bag' event
HUNTINGTON -- Tri-State SHRM, a local chapter group of Human Resources, will be hosting Dress for Success River Cities "Check My Bag" during their monthly meeting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the Workforce Development Center in Huntington.
Breakfast will be served at
8 a.m., and Sherri Smith will give a lecture at 8:30 a.m.
Dress for Success River Cities promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing them with professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to thrive in work and in life. To help supplement their inventory, they are launching the "Check My Bag" drive.
Participants can donate a new or nearly new handbag as well as insert a check contribution. For those who would prefer, the drive also allows participants to make monetary donations of $10, $20, $50 or more in lieu of a handbag. All donations are tax-deductible.
They can only accept women's handbags with current (i.e., purchased within the last three years) design lines.
