THREE STEP JUMP START: Two small business workshops in separate locations will be conducted together by means of simultaneous broadcast from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25. In Huntington, the workshop will be offered in the West Virginia Small Business Development Center (WVSBDC) office in the Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing (RCBI), 1050 4th Ave. In Logan County, the "Business Fundamentals" workshop will be offered at the Southern CTC campus.

The workshops are part of the West Virginia Small Business Development Center (WVSBDC) training and business coaching program Three Step Jump Start to help small-business owners receive the right information at the right time. RCBI will set up the broadcasts provided under the Third District Accelerator grant to deliver integrated business support efforts, technical assistance and development programs.

To register, call 304-436-5295, or go to http://wvsbdc.ecenterdirect.com and click on Training Events for online registration. A minimum of three participants must register for the Logan County workshop for the event to be simulcast.

Registration is required at least two days in advance. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance.

Three Step Jump Start helps entrepreneurs and small business owners in West Virginia accelerate their potential success by learning the structure and services provided by WVSBDC. The first step is to view the Three Step Jump Start video on the agency's website, www.wvsbdc.org.

Individuals can then attend the Business Fundamentals workshop, designed specifically for start-ups and new businesses. The workshop provides essential information on what an entrepreneur needs to know to start a business successfully. There is a $35-per-person fee per workshop.

After completing the workshop, interested entrepreneurs or business owners may schedule an appointment with WVSBDC for one-on-one coaching sessions. The WVSBDC coaches provide assistance with business plan development, financial statement preparation, cash flow analysis and other services.
