InfoCision cuts ribbon on new addition to facility
HUNTINGTON -- InfoCision cut the ribbon on a nearly 10,000-square-foot addition to its Huntington facility Wednesday morning.
Steven Brubaker, senior vice president of corporate affairs for the Akron-based teleservices company, joined Jerry McDonald of the Huntington Area Development Council in celebrating the event.
HADCO leases the building to InfoCision, located just off the Hal Greer Boulevard exit of Interstate 64. With the expansion, InfoCision is a total 13,714 square feet and will have the capacity to add 100 new jobs in Huntington to make for a total of 355.
Also, it now has a fitness center and a physician's office to help employees stay on top of their health as well as their careers.
It's something new envisioned by InfoCision CEO Carl Albright, Brubaker said.
"He envisioned that if we become more healthy, we'll be more successful as well," Brubaker said.
Company-wide, the fitness initiative has been in place for about a year, he said. Meanwhile, InfoCision has watched its health-care costs level off, rather than steadily increasing as they had in recent years, Brubaker said.
About 40 percent of the employees at InfoCision have signed up to use the fitness facility, which costs $3.50 per week and features Nautilus equipment, cardiovascular machines and televisions.
Dr. Larry Caserta will have morning office hours there and for a $10 copay, employees can get their medical concerns addressed without going off-site to the doctor or letting their symptoms go unchecked. They do not have to be on the company health-care plan.
The doctor will be able to do physicals, blood work, strep cultures, asthma treatments or "anything that a primary care physician can do," said Gretchen Fri, a spokeswoman for InfoCision.
With the expansion, InfoCision's Huntington location has added space to its training room, break room and call center areas.
InfoCision celebrates 10 years in Huntington this year and 25 years in business. It handles incoming and outgoing teleservices for national nonprofit, religious and political organizations, as well as Fortune 500 companies. It has 12 locations in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
The company grew 12 percent this year, Brubaker said.
InfoCision is dedicated to keeping business here in the United States, and "Huntington is a very important part of our strategy," Brubaker said.
The Huntington location has three separate call centers. Tracy Howard is the manager of the political call center, Billy Potter manages the technology and consumer services call center and Cheryl Adkins manages the volunteer recruitment call center.
