Easter Egg Treasure Hunt Official Contest Rules
No Purchase necessary to enter or to win. A purchase will not increase your odds of winning. All federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.
Come to The Herald-Dispatch's lobby, 946 Fifth Avenue, Huntington, WV, during normal business hours to receive the daily clue.
The Easter Egg Treasure Hunt is open to U.S. Residents, 18 years or older at the time of the promotion. Employees of The Herald-Dispatch, Champion Publishing or Travel Doctors and each of their respective affiliated companies, subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies, and other agents, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with such employees, are not eligible.
The Herald-Dispatch's Easter Egg Treasure Hunt clues will be published in The Herald-Dispatch beginning on Wednesday, March 26th, 2009.
A new clue will appear daily in the Classified section of The Herald-Dispatch. Clues are available in the paper only, not online.
Bonus Clues will be available at www.traveldoctors.com once a week, starting on March 26th, April 2nd and April 9th, or receive it in person by visiting Travel Doctors, Inc., Huntington office only, at 416 9th Street Plaza. No phone calls please.
The last clue will be published on Wednesday, April 15th, 2009, and the contest ends on April 16th at noon. If the prize package is not claimed by Thursday, April 16th, 2009, by noon, The Herald-Dispatch will donate the prize to the United Way of the River Cities.
Prize: 4 day Bahamas (Freeport and Nassau) cruise for 2. Leaves from Port Canaveral, Florida. Package includes accommodations, all port charges, government fees, food and entertainment. Dates available October 4th, October 11th or October 18th, 2009. Package does NOT include airfare.
Value of prize package; $1,600. Prize package donated by Travel Doctors, Huntington, WV. Prize package is not transferable, cannot be assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash.
Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes.
Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility and publicity release.
Except where prohibited, participation in the Easter egg Treasure Hunt contest constitutes entrant's consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation.
All contest rules and decisions are final.
The Easter Egg Treasure Hunt prize package can be claimed by bringing the Easter egg with the official, notarized certificate to The Herald-Dispatch's front desk, 946 Fifth Avenue, Huntington, WV, during normal business hours, no later than noon, Thursday, April 16th, 2009.
The prize package is NOT on private property. Trespassing, damage or illegal activity is not necessary.
By entering the Easter Egg Treasure Hunt contest, contestants release The Herald-Dispatch, Champion Publishing and Travel Doctors, and each of their respective affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives, partners and agents from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the prize package or with the acceptance, possession or use of any prize. (Including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light).
