AFSCME endorses Felinton for mayoral re-election

The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees in West Virginia has endorsed incumbent Mayor David Felinton in his bid for re-election.

The union released a prepared statement Monday saying Felinton has the vision and honesty to stand up for working families in Huntington.

"David Felinton treats people with respect, and when he makes a commitment, he keeps it," AFSCME state director Ed Hartman said in the release.

AFSCME Council 77 represents 26 local unions of public workers in West Virginia, including city and state workers in Huntington.
