Early voting set to begin
HUNTINGTON -- The 13 days of early voting for the Nov. 6 General Election begin Wednesday, Oct. 24, in West Virginia.
In Cabell County, voters can cast an early ballot at two locations, as the Cabell County Sheriff's Field Office in Ona will serve for the first time as a satellite polling location.
The satellite office and the Cabell County Courthouse will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 -- which is the last day for early voting.
The courthouse is located between 7th and 8th streets and 4th and 5th avenues in Huntington. The satellite location is at 2726 Howell's Mill Road in Ona.
In Wayne County, voters can cast early ballots at the Wayne County Courthouse, 707 Hendricks St., Wayne.
Weekday hours will be 8 a.m to 4 p.m. except on Thursdays, which is 8 a.m to 7 p.m. The Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In Mason County, early voting times are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the two Saturdays. It will take place at the courthouse at 200 6th St., Point Pleasant.
In Putnam County, early voting will be on the second floor of the courthouse at 3389 Winfield Road, Winfield. The times are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, except for Thursday, which is 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
And, in Lincoln County, voters can cast early ballots at three sites, including the annex building across from the courthouse, 8000 Court Ave., Hamlin; Harts Veterans and Community Center, 1 Freedom Lane, Harts; and McCorkle Community Center, 13 Ely Fork Road, Sumerco. Times are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
