NAME: Rebecca Thacker

CANDIDATE FOR: Huntington City Council At-Large (2 seats)

PARTY: Democrat

CITY: Huntington

AGE: 49

EDUCATION: Graduate of Fairland High School.

CURRENT OFFICE: Huntington City Council At Large.

FAMILY: Happily married to Ray Thacker for 12 years.

QUESTION & ANSWER: If the home rule pilot program is extended by the West Virginia Legislature, do you favor the occupation tax?

"I'm against the idea of having an occupation tax. I personal feel that this tax is unfair in many ways. As your councilwoman I have voted against the tax, and will continue to do so as long as I'm on council."

OTHER CANDIDATES: Thacker faces Democrat David Ball and Republicans Cal Kent and Gordon Ramey II for two seats in the general election.

CANDIDATES: To add your information to our Election site, email your contact information to Online Editor Andrea Copley-Smith at acopley@herald-dispatch.com.
