Take A Kid Fishing Day takes place in Wayne
The annual Wayne Wal-Mart’s Take a Kid Fishing Day Tournament took place Saturday, June 13, at Lick Creek Pond, East Lynn Lake. Ninty-four children were registered for the tournament and caught 156 fish, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Park Ranger Jay Davis.
Prizes were awarded to the following tournament winners:
Age 3 and under: Most fish, Austin Taylor (7); Smallest fish, Bryan Adkins and Austin Taylor (3 1/2 inch); Largest fish, Lindsay Kitts (11 inch).
Ages 4-6: Most fish, Michael Neace (10); Smallest fish, Colten Taylor and Jordan Adkins (4 inch); Largest fish, Connor Williamson (9 1/2 inch).
Ages 7-11: Most fish, Savina Adkins (7); Smallest fish, Sammy Riniti (4 inch); Largest fish, Drew Lett (11 inch).
Ages 12-15: Most fish, Tessa Wentz (8); Smallest fish, Kimberly Watts (5 inch); Largest fish, Billy Watts (12 1/2 inch).
Refreshments and lunch were provided by the Wayne Wal-Mart.
