Places to go: Bob Evans Farm
Make your pilgrimage to where it all began "down on the farm." It's the original 1,000-acre Bob Evans farm, including dozens of horses and more than 100 cattle.
Begin your tour with Bob's first restaurant named, The Sausage Shoppe, and continue to the farm museum which a log cabin village, pictorial history, one-room schoolhouse, small animal barnyard, craft barn, stage coach and much more.
For a fee, you can also take part in many weekend events such as the annual Bob Evans Farm Festival.
The "Homestead" is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is where Bob and his wife, Jewell, raised their six children. It used to be a stagecoach stop and inn.

OPEN: Daily Memorial Day to Labor Day; 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends in September
ADMISSION: Free, but there is a charge for some special events.
SPECIAL EVENTS: This year's Bob Evans Farm Festival is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, Oct. 10-12.
