- Crawling Tours, Bat Cave: 2 p.m. Fridays; Saltpeter Cave: 3 p.m. Saturdays, Aug. 11-Sept. 1. Regularly scheduled wild caving tours are offered for the Bat Cave and Saltpeter Cave. These tours are somewhat strenuous and not recommended if are claustrophobic, or in bad health. Cavers must be 12-years-old to participate. Tours are 2 1/2 hours in length. - Family Adventure Quest, continues through Monday, Dec. 1. - Moonbow Viewing, Aug. 14-18; Sept. 13-17; Oct. 12-16; Nov. 11-15; and Dec. 10-14 in 2008. Any clear nights right before, during and following the full moon best dates to try and view the Moonbow, a night-time rainbow. This is the only known moonbow in the Western Hemisphere. - Commercial Fishing, The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has resumed the sale of commercial fishing licenses for caviar from shovelnose sturgeon and paddlefish. - Black Powder Shoot, 7:15 a.m. every fourth Saturday; shooters begin at 8:30 a.m. and matches at 8:45 a.m. Enjoy a Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Shoot, an NRA-approved shooting range.
