Starlight Cinema returns to Harris Riverfront Park
Starlight, starbright, first movie I see tonight.
Yep, like a reoccurring comet, Starlight Cinema, gone for seven long years, is back this weekend, bringing that cosmic dust that combines a moonlit night with movies at Harris Riverfront Park.
Leave the car in the parking lot at Harris Riverfront Park, bring over the lawn chairs and the kids, and spend the evening under the stars with the Ohio River as the backdrop to see "Speed Racer," rated PG, on Friday night, July 19, and on Saturday, July 20, the card-sharking thriller "21."
Admission is free with a ticket. Tickets will not be available at the gate, but they are available now at: The Big Sandy Superstore Arena, Heiner's Surplus Store at Washington Avenue and 13th Street West, The Herald-Dispatch and five locations of Big Sandy Superstores: Teays Valley, Ashland, Chesapeake, Kenova and Ashland Outlet Stores.
Bring your blanket or chairs. Concessions are available. No outside food, drinks or coolers permitted.
Starlight Cinema is sponsored by St. Mary's Medical Center, Heiner's Sara Lee Bakery, Big Sandy Superstore Arena, The Herald- Dispatch, WKEE-FM and WOWK 13.
