Boyd County Fair begins tonight and runs through Saturday
The Boyd County Fair begins today and runs through Saturday August 16.
The action kicks off tonight a 6 p.m. with the opening ceremonies in the Building of Dreams. The ceremony is followed by the first annual “Boyd County Fair Guitar Hero Contest” at 7 p.m. The 4-Cylinder Demolition Derby begins at 8 p.m. in The Pit.
The Boyd County Fair Youth Livestock Show begins at 6 p.m. with the Goat Show in the Livestock Show Ring and the Poultry and Rabbit Shows at 7 p.m. in the Small Animal Barn.
Fairgoers can browse the Agricultural and Horticulture displays and see the Livestock, Live the thrill of the midway, among the many activities going on at the Boyd County Fair this week.
Gates will open at 5 p.m. Tuesday, through Friday and at noon on Saturday. Gates will close at 10 p.m. nightly and at midnight on Saturday.
All events are free, with paid admission to the fair. Daily activities include: Midway Rides, free shows, health screenings, Craft and other Vendors, 4-H Funfest Booth, Home Economics, Horticulture, 4-H and Agriculture Exhibits, Livestock Exhibits, Eudora Farm Petting Zoo, On the Midway with Carnival Rides by Casey's Rides and Vendors
