Another Black Day brings heavy sound to X-Fest
MIAMI, Fla. -- Following the massive success of its Top 20, debut single "Wicked Soul," Another Black Day is storming radio with the second single from its self-titled debut.
Carrying the same moniker as the band and album, "Another Black Day" that hit rock radio last week, marks a shift into heavier gears for the Florida-based metal quartet.
Saturday, Sept. 6, the band joins main stage acts Avenged Sevenfold, Shadows Fall, Pop Evil, Egypt Central and Midnight to Twelve at the 12th annual X-Fest, hosted by X-106.3-FM, WAMX-FM.
Tickets are still on sale for the day-long music fest featuring all types of hardcore, heavy metal and modern rock acts both regionally and nationally.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $45 day of show. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets including the Big Sandy Superstore Arena Box Office.
A limited number of Pit Passes will be available in advance for $45 at the arena box office at 1 Civic Center Plaza, Huntington or by calling 304-696-4400.
Gates will open at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6.
The Budweiser Loud and Local Stage will be X Factor 1 (Columbus, Ohio), PI (Ironton, Ohio), Bud Carroll & the Southern Souls (Huntington), Downtrend (Pikeville, Ky.) and Stitch Rivet (Bloody Creek, Ky.).
Another Black Day frontman, Matt Wilkof, recently checked in with his thoughts on the song "Another Black Day's" pending impact.
"This song really brings out our band's energy and encompasses more of what we are all about. We definitely think it has more intricate detail music-wise," he said.
While the impact of the band's second single would have been enough to satisfy the hunger for most fans, the band was also part of some big metal news when Five Finger Death Punch officially announced its fall headline tour, featuring Another Black Day as well as In This Moment and Bury Your Dead.
"It's definitely going to be a breakthrough tour with those amazing bands," Willkof said in a release. "We are honored to have the opportunity to play with a band like Five Finger Death Punch that has broken through mainstream radio. This paves the way for new bands like us, to show people who we are and what our music is about. This will be a killer tour and will hopefully help us get to the next level as a band."
Another Black Day's self-titled debut album featuring "Wicked Soul" and "Another Black Day" is in stores now through Bieler Bros. Records.
