HUNTINGTON -- When you've put on more than 700 events in more than 100 venues, drawing in more than 50,000 partygoers, you can't just get any DJ and throw any kind of party.

Eric Easley, of e2ntertainment, is celebrating the ninth anniversary of his urban entertainment biz based out of Huntington on Friday with "I Put On For My City," a red-carpet party at Holderby's Landing, 1360 Harris Park Dr., that features well-known national DJ G-Spot, out of Cleveland.

DJ G-Spot, whose real name is George Jackson and who hosts the show Shade 45 on Sirius, who's opened for Jay-Z on his Blueprint Tour and has spun at P.Diddy's 2005 Super Bowl Party in Detroit, will be on the turntables for the evening.

The party runs 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, until about 3:30 a.m. Saturday at Huntington's floating restaurant and bar.

Easley, who has been hosting Sunday parties at Holderby's all summer, said he's stoked to kick it out on a Saturday night.

"We've got DJ G-Spot underneath the big top and on the inside, live acoustic music and a reunion on the back deck in the evening too, so it's going to make for a pretty eclectic evening," Easley said. "G-Spot just did a neo-soul mixtape series, so he's got all the music to cater to everybody's liking."

Easley said he figures the party will really get going after midnight, as the college crowd rolls in to dance to music from G-Spot, who hosts radio mix shows nationally.

This is the first time DJ G-Spot has operated in the state, Easley said.

"He came down in June to see DJ JLS and he made DJ JLS one of his Entourage DJs," Easley said. "He was pretty impressed with the party scene since the first time he came down. The anniversary was a good enough excuse to bring him back. If it wouldn't have been this it would have been for homecoming, but this is my celebration so I wanted to reach outside the box for something special."

Easley, who has hosted everything from nationally-traveling street hoops shows, to step shows, comedy, and national act hip hop, said he's sent out personal invites to hundreds of people and celebs from around the region.

"Last year we did it at Club Echo and had about 400 come through," Easley said. "We've got people coming in from Columbus and Cleveland and Bluefield, Va., and Louisville and Kentucky State. They know we can party over here in West Virginia."
