If you go: 'Romeo and Juliet'
Here's some more info about checking out this year's performances from HOT (Huntington Outdoor Theatre):
WHAT: "Romeo and Juliet:" Huntington Outdoor Theatre presents the Shakespearean classic "Romeo and Juliet" featuring popular modern love songs by everyone from Billy Joel to Pat Benatar.
WHEN: Friday-Sunday, July 11-13 and 18-20. Show time is 8:30 p.m., and the pre-shows begin at 7 p.m. Children's pre-show is "Orphans of Broadway." Gates open at 6:30 p.m. for picnics. Concessions are also available.
ON DECK: Cole Porter's comedic hit "Anything Goes" runs Friday-Sunday, July 25-27, and Aug. 1-3.
WHERE: Ritter Park Amphitheater, located in the hills of Ritter Park above the Ritter Park Rose Garden and Tennis Center.
OPENING NIGHT: Friday, July 11
HOW MUCH: Admission is $16 for adults, $14 for seniors (65 and older) and children ages 5-12. Children under 5 are admitted free.

DID YOU KNOW? Now in its 15th year, HOT has grown into a major event in Huntington. More than 10,000 people saw shows in the 2005 season when the hit musical "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" was presented. For the 2000 season, HOT commissioned Elaine Novak and Deborah Novak to write an original historical musical, "Huntington: The Jewel of West Virginia."
