Highlands Museum accepting entries for Apollo Night 2009
ASHLAND – The Highlands Museum & Discovery Center is now accepting entries for performers for Apollo Night 2009. This event, held in cooperation with the museum’s Black History Month Celebration, will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at the historic Paramount Arts Center in downtown Ashland.
There is an entry fee of $5 per act and those wishing to participate should fill out an entry form at the museum.
Participants should register early as only the first 20 paid entries will be accepted. The last day to turn in a registration is Tuesday, Feb. 3.
Entry forms and a complete list of rules are available at the museum.
Housed in the historic Parsons Department Store, the Highlands Museum & Discovery Center is located at 1620 Winchester Avenue. The museum is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $5.50 for adults, $4.50 for children 2 and older and seniors. Members and children under 2 are admitted free.
