Mountain Stage debuts on HDTV on Tuesday
Already one of the most well-known live music radio shows in the world, Mountain Stage, is making quite a comeback as well on TV.
The new series shot in high definition debuts in 2008 at 10 p.m. Tuesdays in January.
You can see it locally on WVPBS-TV in West Virginia and it will air on PBS stations around the country.
The schedule includes:
Jan 8: Martina McBride & Diana Jones - Martina McBride performs classic songs made famous by Hank Williams, Buck Owens, and Loretta Lynn as well as her own hits. The program also features a cameo appearance by Diana Jones, an Americana singer/songwriter whose roots reach deep into Appalachia.
Jan 15: Arlo Guthrie & the Guthrie Family Legacy Tour - America's first family of folk music takes the stage to deliver old and new original songs as well as many of Woody Guthrie's best loved classics.
Jan 22: Del McCoury Band, Paul Thorn & Jessi Colter - Del McCoury's
unmistakable tenor vocals, Paul Thorn with a strong sense of humor, and Jessi Colter's Outlaw Country music.
Jan 29: Darrell Scott & Reagan Boggs - Scott is one of Nashville's most successful songwriters; Boggs is a young Appalachian singer/songwriter.
