New radio station, 101.5 BOB-FM, puts focus back on tunes

August 28, 2008 @ 12:00 AM

Connoisseur Media has launched Huntington's WXBW 101.5 BOB-FM. 101.5 BOB-FM represents a new adult hit radio station serving the Tri-State.

BOB-FM will feature a variety of music from artists like Boston, Donna Summer, Jackson Browne, Smash Mouth, 3 Doors Down, Britney Spears, Duran Duran, James Brown, Outkast and more. The playlist will not be determined by era but rather by the biggest hits of the 1960s, '70s, '80s, '90s and today.

"It's unheard of in radio these days, but 101.5 BOB-FM is all about the music and not so much about personalities," General manager Newman Adkins said. "This is a completely unique radio station that is absolutely all about the listener's experience. We keep commercial breaks brief and play a ton of great music."

101.5 BOB-FM replaces Classic Rock WRYV. For more information about the new 101.5 FM, log on to www.bobfm1015.com.
