Spotlight on local music: River Town
River Town is a high energy, upbeat, contemporary country rock band. The band formed in 2008 with one goal in mind -- to please the crowd and keep it on its feet. Although the band is new, the members of River Town are no strangers to the stage. The band has played several area fairs and festivals.
Members, instrument, day job: Kala DeHart, lead vocals, guitar, high school student; Jeff Marcum, drums and vocals, eyeglass lens technician; Jim Adkins, bass guitar, sales rep; Rich DeHart, rhythm guitar, Rich Hardware and Rental; Brian Ball, lead guitar, beer sales rep; Mike Vint, keyboards, inventory technician.

Influences: Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Black Crowes, AC/DC, Miranda Lambert, Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett, Bob Seger and many others.
