Spotlight on local music: Aaron Holley

BIO: A 2000 Cabell-Midland High School graduate, 26-year-old country singer Aaron Holley hasn't been the same since a friend goaded him into doing some karaoke at the Cajun Kitchen a few years ago.

Holley placed second in 2007 in the Colgate Country Showdown at the Lawrence County Fair in front of thousands of folks gathered to see Kellie Pickler later that night. Since then, Holley has been honing his game, notching up opening gigs for such artists as Chris Cagle during last year's Ribfest, and for the legendary George Jones last September in Catlettsburg.
