Young Life expanding in Wayne County
Young Life, a national Christian organization aimed at building relationships with high school students, is expanding in Wayne County.
The ministry, which has been in Cabell County for about five years, is led in Wayne County by Andy and Heather Nelson. They have worked the past two years at Vinson Middle School and are now expanding to Spring Valley, Wayne and Tolsia high schools.
Since 1941, the dynamic that has characterized Young Life is its commitment to relationships. As leaders get to know teenagers, they are able to share the love of Jesus Christ through platforms like the weekly club meetings and annual trips to camp.
An informational picnic has been organized by the Wayne County Young Life Committee and will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26 in the Vinson Middle School cafeteria. Dinner is free but you are asked to RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Nelsons can be reached at 304-563-0433.
