Artists to open new exhibit in Proctorville
HUNTINGTON -- A new art show will open Tuesday, March 18 at Ohio University Southern's Proctorville Center.
The "Many Faces of Art" featuring all the artists of the Renaissance Art Gallery will open with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m.
The exhibit will continue through April 29 at the campus, located at 111 Private Drive, just off Irene Road in Proctorville.
Artists from the Renaissance Art Gallery have been preparing for the exhibit for months.
The Renaissance Art Gallery is an local artist co-operative gallery. It is run by nine local artists, Fern Christian, Susan Tschantz, Janet Lester, Linda Helgason, Laura Moul, Pati Payne, Gary Lapelle, Ron Haeberle and Leona Mackey. Each of these artists will have 4 pieces on display at Ohio University, Proctorville Center.
Fern Christian, Ron Haeberle, Gary Lapelle and Leona Mackey are all from Huntington. Pati Payne and Linda Helgason are from Ironton. Laura Moul lives in Milton and Susan Tschantz lives in Scott Depot, W.Va.
The Renaissance Art Gallery is located at 900 8th St., Suite 20 in Huntington.
The Gallery's hours are noon to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Studio hours are 10 a.m. noon Monday, 1 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
