West Virginia Lions Club seeking youth for overseas exchange

UNION, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Lions Youth Exchange Committee is seeking young men and women between the ages of 16 and 21 who are interested in traveling overseas.

The students would spend three to five weeks with a host family during the summer of 2013. Applications will be accepted through Nov. 15, for students interested in traveling to Finland, Japan, Australia and Peru.

Travel grants worth $1,500 will be awarded to help pay for travel expenses. The program is open to West Virginia students in grades 10 through 12 or are recent graduates and will be between 16 and 21 years of age on June 1, 2013.
