Art museum hosting high school portfolios
HUNTINGTON -- The Huntington Museum of Art is hosting more than 160 pieces of artwork from middle and high school students from West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio.
The opening ceremony took place April 20, and the exhibition will be displayed through May 19.
Participating high schools include Chesapeake, Fairland, Huntington, Blazer, Ravenswood, Ripley, St. Joseph Central Catholic, Spring Valley, Symmes Valley, Tolsia, Tug Valley, Wahama, Wayne and Winfield.
Participating middle schools include Barboursville, Beverly Hills, Duval, Guyan Valley, Our Lady of Fatima, Russell, Winfield and Verity.
Portfolio 2013 is being presented in partnership with the Marshall University College of Fine Arts, with additional support from the West Virginia Division of Culture and History and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
