Living history, author showcase Nov. 16

WURTLAND, Ky. -- There will be a Living History and Author Showcase on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the McConnell House, 100 McConnell Dr., at the junction of US 23 and KY 67.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It will feature live Civil War Era music, re-enactors portraying Abe Lincoln, General Lee, Mrs. Lee, General Lomax and more. There will be demonstrations of medical tools and weapons of the era and women in period ball gowns.

In addition there will be talks and demonstrations by a variety of authors.

The event is open to the public.
