Meet Brenda. She is 12 years old and a very good conversationalist. She has wavy brown hair and blue eyes. She is very bright and loves to read. Her teachers say she is the best reader. She likes to be in plays and can work a jigsaw puzzle really quickly. Brenda also has excellent manners.
Coming from a large sibling group, Brenda has been the caretaker. She needs the opportunity to be a child. She is ready to begin making a connection with a new family. This will need to be a gradual process for Brenda as she doesn't feel she "deserves" a family. She is both scared and anxious of this process. Brenda needs a family who is patient, stable, loving and can provide her with a safe and secure home for her to thrive.
