Huntington Mall names area high school teens to latest Fashion Advisory Board
BARBOURSVILLE -- The Huntington Mall recently announced a new Fashion Advisory Board.
The board is comprised of teenagers who get experience in fashion, retail sales and marketing. They serve as volunteers and assist with promotional events, community events and store events at the mall.
The new board is comprised of 10 seniors, 12 juniors, and 7 sophomores from the following area high schools: South Point High, St. Joseph High, Spring Valley High, Grace Christian, Cabell Midland, Chesapeake High, Huntington High, Fairland High, Covenant and Winfield High. The new members are: Beth Barnes, Alli Bartram, Lauren Breece, Brandi Caldwell, Jodi Carpenter, Kayla Cooper, Lindsey Cremeans, Jennifer Ewanus, Audrey Fosson, Lindsey Hawthorne, Lauren Johnson, Sarena Johnson, Courtney Joseph, Clare Loftus, Kylie Magner, Macie McCallister, Brooke McMullen, Shelby McKeand, Ty Midkiff, Diana Neacsu, Carly Nichols, Courtney Otis, Megan Snead, Zoey Stull, Abigail Turner, Kaleigh VanHorn, Taylor Weisend, Sarah Whitt and Shelby Yancey.
Sponsors for this year's board include American Health Centers; Marshall University Outreach Technology Center; Cabell County Career and Technology Center; and Zephany Pictures.
Two seniors who are on the board will receive more than $2,000 in college scholarships and prizes.
The Fashion Advisory Board will be dedicating their work to a mall employee, Christine Jackson, who has served the Huntington Mall and community for over 25 years and is battling breast cancer.
