Jul. 14, 2013 @ 11:37 AM

BARBOURSVILLE -- Here's a look at  Sunday’s schedule of events for Beech Fork State Park, located just about 10 miles south of Huntington and Barboursville.

Sunday, July 14

1 p.m. — Moxley Branch Stream Investigation: Come meet the naturalist by the Moxley Branch Bathhouse and take a short walk to the stream, where you will get our feet wet and see what critters are hiding in there.

3 p.m. — Lost Trail Hike: A great hike for those looking for a good workout or to really get into the park flora and fauna.  This trail offers great views and is very diverse in its flora. Enjoy the opportunity to have a free guide through this trail that contains many switchbacks. Meet at the Moxley Branch bathhouse, just look for the naturalist in uniform with a back pack.  Be sure to bring water and good footwear, this hike is about 3.5 miles.

6 p.m. —  Nature Trail Hike: Go see what you can find along the Nature Trail. Take bug examination boxes, a favorite for the kids, and hopefully catch some cool critters.  Meet the park naturalist at Camper’s Corner.
